Password Now Required for Libby
OverDrive, the company that provides Libby, has changed how users access the Libby app and OverDrive website. Passwords are now required for users logging into Libby or the SAPL OverDrive website.
Starting September 15, 2026, users will need to enter their library card barcode number and library account password into Libby to verify their account.
Where is my library card barcode?
Users can find their library barcode number on the back of their library card, in the My Settings section of your online account, or by clicking the card icon in the MySAPL app.
What password do I use?
If you need to reset your password, visit the SAPL website, log in, and select “Forgot Your Password.” Enter your library card number, and an email with a link to reset your password will be sent to you.
Library staff are not able to reset passwords or provide password information over the phone. Please visit a library location if you are unable to access your account.
