If you have requested an item, but you want to delay when it is ready to be picked up, you can pause/freeze the hold on that item. For example, if you are going on vacation and don't want to miss getting your requested items, you can pause/freeze them before you leave then resume/unfreeze them when you return.

Please be aware that pausing/freezing your requests keeps your place in line. If you pause/freeze many items for an extended period of time and then resume/unfreeze them all at once, you are likely to receive all of those items at the same time.
