Question:
How do I move someone on the holds list?
Sometimes we need to move patrons to the top of a list of holds to position #1 or somewhere else in line at the top of the list.
Answer:
Use Reorder Hold Queue wizard under Holds in the Circulation Module.
Note: To access this wizard you must have a Librarian profile in Symphony or have permissions for this wizard on your Symphony profile.
Open the wizard, search for the record to display the hold list. Find your patron and right click on the line. Select CUT. The patron's line will become italicized.
Next, right click on the line close to the position where the patron should be in line. Select the option to place the patron above or below this line.
And you're done. It's that easy.
