Q. Why can't I request movies or music CDs through ILL?

The Interlibrary Loan program allows San Antonio Public Library patrons to borrow materials not owned by SAPL from other libraries. In order to make the ILL program cost effective to administer, SAPL does not borrow or loan popular entertainment media materials on DVD or Blu-ray or music CDs through the program.

SAPL encourages patrons to submit a Suggest a Purchase request for already released popular films and music CDs that are not yet owned by SAPL.  Library staff will evaluate the request and add the item to SAPL’s collection whenever possible.
