  • Something may change with your computer's settings that causes the Digital Rights Management (DRM) software to malfunction. If this occurs, you will need to reset your Windows DRM to listen to or watch OverDrive titles.

Here are some example error codes you might get when you have a DRM error:

    • 0x80070057: The parameter is incorrect
    • 0xC00D2751
    • 0xC00D2781
    • 0xC00D2711

Follow Microsoft's troubleshooting steps to resolve the error

Once you reset the DRM on your computer, you can verify the reset was successful by opening OverDrive's desktop app, then going to Help > About OverDrive
