To place a hold:

  • From the main catalog page, search for the title you wish to request.
  • If you get more than one result, you will see a list of items. Click the "Place a Hold" button to the right of the title you wish to place on hold.
  • If you get an exact match, you will see a full record display. Click the "Place a Hold" button located to the right side of the page.
  • The screen will show you the title you are requesting. You will need to select a pick up location. If you are not logged in, you will also be asked to sign in first.
  • If you have problems placing an item on hold, see Trouble Placing a Hold? or check your system settings. If you are having technical difficulties, see Trouble Logging in to My Account? or contact us online or by phone at 210-207-2500.
  • Please note that the request to place an item on hold expires after one year if the hold is not filled.
