Place One Hold at a Time

  • From the main catalog page, search for the title you wish to request.
  • If you get more than one result, you will see a list of items. Click the "Place Hold" button to the right of the title you wish to place on hold.
  • If you get an exact match, you will see a full record display. Click the "Place Hold" button located near the bottom left side of the page.
  • The screen will show you the title you are requesting. You will need to select a pick up location. If you are not logged in, you will also be asked to sign in with your last name and card number first.
  • If you have problems placing an item on hold, see Trouble Placing a Hold? or check your system settings. If you are having technical difficulties, see Trouble Logging in to My Account? or contact us online or by phone at 207-2500.
  • Please note that the request to place an item on hold expires after one year if the hold is not filled.

Place Multiple Items on Hold

  • From the main catalog page, search for the title you wish to request.
  • If you get more than one result, you will see a list of items.
  • Click the "+To Cart" button to the right of the items you wish to place on hold. If you do not see this button,
  • Click the "Select" check-box next to the items you wish to place on hold and click on the "+ Add Selected" button above or below the record display.
  • Repeat the above steps until you have selected all the items you wish to place on hold.
  • Once you have saved your items, click on "View Cart" on the navigation bar at the top of the page.
  • Select "Place Hold(s)"
  • You will need to select a pick up location. If you are not logged in, you will also be asked to sign in with your last name and card number first.
  • You may request all or some of the saved records. To request all of the items, enter your information and click "Hold All." To request selected items, click the check-box next to each item you wish to select. Then enter your information and click "Hold Selected"
