Q. The hold I placed on an item I suggested has disappeared. What happened?

It happens infrequently, but sometimes our vendors can no longer supply an item that had been listed as available when we ordered it. The reason is usually as simple as that the item is now out of print, or the publisher is permanently out of stock.
