When you search our  online catalog, you can search in many different ways. If you use keywords to search for an item, you may have a lot of results to look at. You can modify or limit your search to narrow the list of results.

Once you begin a search, the button "Modify Search" will appear at the top of the page. If you do an index search (searching by title, author, call number, etc.) rather than a keyword search, you will see the button "Limit Search" instead. These two buttons are very similar. Clicking either one will take you to a page where you can specify more details about your search.

You can select a format type, language, publication date, or publisher. Your search results will then reflect those options. This is a very easy way to limit your search to only DVDs or to items in Spanish, for example.
