Answer

Due to cuts in state funding, the funding of Interlibrary Loan service is in the stages of transitioning to the San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) from the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. In order to continue providing this service to you, Interlibrary Loan has been incorporated into the regular service model and services of the San Antonio Public Library.  Therefore, InterLibrary Loans will become subject to the same fines and fees as all other items in San Antonio Public Library.

So that users are not surprised by the change, SAPL has been putting informative bookmarks in all current InterLibrary Loans about the upcoming change. The change will take place in the next few weeks, and will not be applied to any outstanding InterLibrary Loan requests, only to those placed thereafter. SAPL will continue to provide instructions on usage and policy information at the point of borrowing. Follow instructions at http://sapl.sat.lib.tx.us/screens/illhome.html.
