Most library material can be renewed twice (except for magazines and reference material). Media items, like DVDs, may also be renewed twice as long as no holds are placed on the title.

Renew in person: Bring library material you wish to renew, along with your library card, to any San Antonio Public Library location.

Renew online:
Go to the My Account page, click on “items checked-out” – and choose the items to renew. Check your due dates after renewing to make sure no one has your items on hold. More information on My Account

Renew over the phone: Check due dates, renew books, check your holds, and more just by using your telephone. Call 207-6121 (if you're out of town call toll free at 866-432-8950) to access the San Antonio Public Library's automated phone system. Please have your library card and the items you would like to renew by the phone.

If you are having problems renewing an item, please see What do I do if I am having trouble renewing items?.
